I am sure you have read this a million times but it is true. The “rule” is, if you are travelling for 5 days, you will need clothes for 3 days, and if you are travelling for 7 days you will need clothes for 5. For winter travellers, just take one heavy coat with you and one scarf. At the end of the day no one will see your outfits, but only your coat! On the other hand, if you are a summer traveler, you will need more swimwear and shorts, rather than high heels and shirts.
Roll and Pack
For perfect packing, roll your clothes and pack them first. Roll all your cotton tops and jeans. Do not afraid to roll any silk or satin. Pack your clothes first and then pack your cosmetics, shoes and accessories on top.
Heavy Items on the Base/Bottom
Another tip is to put heavy items like books, iron, boots, on the base of the suitcase. Why? To avoid pressing your clothes or any other valuable item, and to keep your suitcase stable.
Millions of people all around the world forget their adaptor and they remember it when they reach the airport. Right?! Well, nowadays, you can easily order online a small adaptor and USB charger, all in one. The trick is, when you return back from a trip, leave your adaptor in the suitcase for the next time, otherwise, you will have to buy a new one every time.
Lastly, do not forget your laundry bag. It sounds crazy, but you do not want to mix the clean clothes with the dirty ones. If you are staying in a hotel, you can use their laundry bag. Otherwise, go shopping and use the bag!
Make sure that in your personal bag you have well organized all your travelling documents like tickets, passports, any medical record and few cash. If you are travelling with kids, then prepare an envelope for each kid with their personal documentation. Do not forget antiseptic, tissues, earplugs, gums and medicine. If you do not have the time to make your own benchmarking, there are many websites that do the research for you. Our favourite one is Top of Reviews: you can find the best products for any kind of trip. Is it a curry-on luggage, a check in luggage, a sleep mask, ear plugs or noise-cancelling headphones, a travel pillow, an all-in-one universal adapter, a toiletry bag or anything that has to do with travelling; they simply have benchmarked all the necessary things you need for your next trip.
